Start Your Own Telecom Company

from the it's-so-easy dept

With so many telecom companies going bankrupt, now might be the best time to start your own telecom company. Some companies are buying up tons of assets and excess capacity from bankrupt telecoms for pennies on the dollar. Yet another example of the Iridium model of doing business. Get sucker investors to dump ridiculous amounts of capital, go bankrupt, sell off the assets for pennies on the dollar, and then you have all that infrastructure for very little cash with none of the debt. Not a bad deal. If you want to get started yourself, you might want to pick up some office supplies from the latest Enron asset auction. If you decide to name your company starting with an E, you might even want to bid on the big Enron “E” that’s for sale.
