Qwest In Talks to Sell Wireless Unit to Verizon
According to some rumors going around, troubled Qwest is looking to sell its mobile telephone business unit to Verizon Wireless for approximately $1 billion. Apparently they also had talks with another local carrier, Alltell, but Verizon Wireless looks like the leading candidate at this point.
