Greek Net Cafes Face Ruin
from the shut-'em-down dept
The situation in Greece seems to get more ridiculous each day. Despite a court in Greece ruling that the law banning video games in the entire country was unconstitutional, the Greek government and police are using the time during an appeal to “crackdown” on internet cafe owners, swarming into the cafes and confiscating all their computers as evidence. Protestors accuse the government of delaying the appeals process in order to destroy as many cybercafes as possible in the meantime.
