Wireless Web Embraces Push

from the everything-old-is-new-again dept

Remember push technology? Well, apparently, it’s back… Many wireless companies have discovered push as a solution to people who don’t want to type via the tiny mobile phone keypads. Some figure that by pushing the info (probably via preset news and email preferences) it makes it more likely that people will use wireless data. However, many think that wireless push will follow the same path as plain old push, and go away as people become more used to using the wireless web – and get better devices to surf wirelessly.
