Turning Star Trek Fictional Science Into Fact

from the I'm-working-on-that... dept

MSNBC is running an excerpt from the latest William Shatner book Star Trek: I’m Working on That, where he looks at the various technologies that work on Star Trek and finds out what work is being done today in those areas to make similar technologies a reality. This excerpt focuses on the concept of a warp drive and how to handle faster than light travel. The writing is a bit too much on the “breezey/chatty” side of things, but it’s still a fun read.
