Stepping Back From Electronic Voting

Following the latest voting mess in the wonderful state of Florida, it seems that folks in (of all places) Silicon Valley are looking to scale back electronic voting plans until a few more of the kinks have been worked out. Some areas had been working on plans to use the same devices as the ones that screwed up in Florida. This, of course, seems like a perfectly reasonable idea. It’s still fairly amazing that the Florida system could have malfuntioned so magnificently.
