Wireless Networks Exposed

A Canadian security consulting company has launched a website that lists all the open WiFi nodes in Toronto. It appears this is causing a bit of controversy, as people wonder whether or not the company should be making that info public. Obviously, the firm is doing so to focus attention on these “insecure” access points. Of course, there are some people who don’t think open WiFi access points are such a bad thing, but that point of view seems to be diminishing these days. The company plans to list similar lists and maps for other Canadian cities as well.
