Wayport Takes the Loews Road

Anyone who’s talked to me about my travel schedule in the last year or so, knows that I’ve been calling and emailing various hotels around the country explaining to them that they need to install WiFi. I’ve been trying to pick hotels based on their WiFi coverage – but that’s proved to be impossible, since everywhere I went, I discovered no hotels had WiFi. Wayport, the WISP that is most focused on hotels, is plowing ahead, however, and today announced plans to put WiFi access into seven hotels owned by the Loews Hotel chain – and it will include coverage of guest rooms. Hopefully, more hotels will take the hint, and it won’t be such a big process to find a WiFi enabled hotel in the next year.
