Collecting Porn For The Sake Of History
from the tough-job dept
Folks from the Australian National Library in Canberra who are working on a project to archive Australian websites for historical purposes have added a tough job to their list of duties. They’re now archiving pornographic sites along with all the other sites. They say it’s important for historical purposes, and leaving out the porn sites would amount to unfair censorship. Seems like a great job description. “And what do you do?” “I surf porn for the National Library.”

Where do I get a job application? 😉
Yeah, I do that too...
… I just keep forgetting to submit my work to the library.
Me too
Um, yeah that’s what I’m doing too, just archiving it for historical purposes.
porn through the ages...
You know why there was not cave porn? ’cause of the fscking Neanderthal censors…
Now, there’s plendty of baroque, church sponsored, renaissance, Roman/Greek, middle age, asian dynasty, etc. porn. Some of it is even taught, all be it passingly, in art history courses.
But my question is:
As laughtly simple as porn was all the way up to the victorian era, how will future porn differ from what is available today?
After all, it’s a bit hard to upstage beastiality, boukai, and 3hp electric motor fscking machines.
I suppose we should prepare ouselves for live vivasection porn or the cybornetic improvised genatalia catatory.
shit
