Auction Site Tries To Back Out On $14 Car Sale

from the most-people-in-his-situation-would-be-stubborn dept

A man in China bid for a used car (worth approximately $12,000) on an auction site. He put in a bid of $14 and was shocked when he won. It was the highest bid, and the auction system sent him a confirmation. The company that auctioned the car off, however, is trying to say that it wasn’t valid – except their only argument seems to be that the car couldn’t have sold for so little. There’s a great quote from the seller concerning their attempts to negotiate with the guy: “We’ve tried to talk to Han, but he’s been very stubborn. Most people in his situation would be stubborn.” Indeed.
