Waking Up Academics To The Dangers Of The DMCA
from the do-something dept
The Chronicle of Higher Education has a great article discussing all of the dangers of the DMCA in destroying a balanced use of copyright law. It specifically focuses on taking academics to task for not defending their rights, and ignoring the problems with the DMCA, which have resulted in making their own lives more difficult. It’s clear that the writer isn’t just someone who wants “free” stuff, but who is concerned about the ability for academics to make fair use of copyrighted material in the pursuit of education.
