Handset Channel Conflict
I’m noticing more and more handset makers trying direct sales efforts. First we had Nokia going direct with the 9290, then SonyEricsson started offering the T68 online, and now Motorola is going to auction off custom designed V60’s. Are carriers missing something here? Are consumers running out of patience with carriers to refresh device choices? If they are, it’s probably a very small percent who are obsessed with specific products.
