It seems that some patients with early-stage Alzheimer’s disease have found that blogging has helped slow the onset of the disease. There’s no real evidence that it helps, but the patients seem to swear by it. They say that the cognitive task of keeping a journal about their lives helps to keep their mind active, and the blog itself is useful to remind them of things. Of course, there are plenty of people who will say that with all the insanely boring blogs about people’s cats and such, blogging may also be the cause of dementia in some cases…
