Digital Cameras Being Used For Evidence In Domestic Violence Cases

from the better-than-polaroids dept

Salon has an interesting article about how digital cameras are becoming increasingly popular with police investigating domestic violence cases. Because the general feeling that digital photographs are “free”, while Polaroids or 35mm shots cost money, investigators are more willing to take many more shots. Being able to view the results immediately helps to make sure the shots are clear and everything that’s needed is captured. Of course, some folks worry that it’s too easy to manipulate a digital image, but others respond that it’s easy these days to manipulate any image.
