Business 2.0 Gives mMode a C+
It seems a bit early to rate mMode but that hasn’t stopped Business 2.0 from giving it a C+. They are looking for some great innovation and it’s not surprising that they aren’t seeing it, it isn’t there. The connection to DoCoMo’s i-mode is mostly in name and the fact that the service operates on a packet network. Other than that it is a pretty straightforward WAP portal. mMode won’t show any real growth until AT&T introduces GSM/GPRS in more markets and the service is a better value than its existing TDMA services.
