Email Someone Your Trauma

from the e-therapy dept

In what seems like something of a useless study, researchers have found that sending emails about trauma you’ve suffered may help you get over it better. Of course, studies in the past have shown that writing about a trauma helps people have a better mental state, so this isn’t anything new – other than to point out that writing stuff out on paper and using email create similar results. I don’t see why this is that surprising. Of course, the study doesn’t say exactly who you should be emailing your trauma stories to. In fact, someone in the article points out that normally when you email someone about a trauma, they’re going to write back, and they’re likely to say all the wrong things.
