Craig McCaw As An Introverted Optimistic Entrepreneur
from the profiles dept
Fortune is running a fairly interesting profile of Craig McCaw who’s main claim to fame (he has a few) is creating McCaw Cellular, the first nationwide cell phone system, and selling it off to AT&T. He’s gone through a number of ups and downs (many more downs than ups recently), but he still remains incredibly optimistic. Many of his current companies (Teledesic, XO, Nextel) are struggling, but he still says that “there’s never been a better time to invest in telecom”. Not surprisingly, many people think he’s crazy.
