Pets.com Sock Puppet Making A Comeback

from the oh,-please,-no dept

Turns out the ultimate representative of the go-go dot-com years isn’t really gone. The Pets.com sock puppet is being used in new commercials for a company that makes autoloans to people with bad credit. They say the puppet is the perfect representative of “second chances”. It’s not clear how they got the rights to the puppet – and I’m not sure it’s such a great idea. It’s a pretty clear symbol of failure.
