Search Engine Getaway

from the 2-days-inside,-1-day-outside dept

If you became a nature writer you would think you’d spend a lot of time outside, right? Not so, according to a nature writer for the NY Times, who has found that the internet now makes him spend two days indoors researching stuff online for every day he spends outside. It seems he’s especially susceptible to tangents, though. Though, I guess, if there’s no real end purpose to the searches he’s doing, it’s not a big deal to spend some extra time serendipitously finding other cool things.
