BREW Me Up Some $$$
Qualcomm is holding its BREW Developers Conference this week to discuss all thing BREW. The first big announcement to come out of the meeting is the release of the BREW Distribution System which is a turnkey system for carriers to develop and deploy BREW apps. From what I’ve seen of BREW, the technology is interesting in that it could help create a richer wireless experience for users. But what’s missing is the right business model. In the current model carriers have too much control in choosing which apps to deploy. I just can’t see them coming up with the killer app. Can you?
