More Small Input Devices
from the getting-creative dept
Since we were just talking about keyboard design for handheld devices, what about this brand new keyboard from Digit Wireless? It works by putting the letter buttons in the corners between all the number (and punctuation) buttons on a mobile phone. They say the spacing works pretty well. I imagine that after a little bit of practice it would be pretty easy to use. The question I have, though, is how big do the phones have to be to use this keyboard. It looks like they’re a bit bigger than your typical mobile phone.

Fastap technology
Phones can be exactly the same range of sizes as are currently available – Fastap provides 2 keyboards superimposed on top of each other in 3D, and as such provides keys nearly as large as laptop keys, and yet fits 40-50 keys on the front of a small format phone the size of the smallest Nokia.
