More Cooperation Between Carriers and Handset Makers
Vodafone has called for increased cooperation between carriers and handset makers. Since the handset it what customers deal with directly carriers want a stronger presence on the devices. And secondly they would like to see Part handset makers to cooperate amongst themselves to standardize more feature and designs to aid testing and launching of new handsets. At the moment they believe that competition is confusing the market. Wireless industry cooperation so far has helped grow wireless services in Europe. But just how far can you take that cooperation before it hurts innovation?
