Burgers, Fries and Wi-Fi

from the food,-folks-and-internet dept

Japan seems to be catching Wi-Fi fever. Following NTT’s plans to launch Wi-Fi service, Softbank and McDonalds Japan are going to install wireless LAN services in 4000 McDonalds in Japan. We’re big fans of Wi-Fi at Techdirt. But the one thing that really bugs us is the lack of hotspots. Hopefully McDonalds US will follow suit. Though quite honestly I’d rather go into a coffee shop than a burger joint for internet access. It’s tough to surf and enjoy fries at the same time.
