Boyfriend Looking At Porn? Steal His Computer
from the interesting-relationship-strategies dept
If you’re worried that your significant other is spending too much time checking out online porn, it’s probably not the smartest move to then get some of your friends to break into their house and steal the computer. That’s what one woman did to her boyfriend (though, her friends got a little greedy and stole jewelry, CDs, and a television as well). Her lawyer seemed to think that this was a legitimate way to “protect the relationship” and used that argument in court. Thankfully, it failed, as the judge pointed out that stealing a computer will probably do little to help save such a relationship.

How is this tech news?
Man, this site gets lamer and lamer each day. What the hell does this have to do with anything related to the tech world? Please stop wasting my time with this type of cheesy link. If the quality of this site doesn’t improve soon, I may have to go elsewhere for my news.
Re: How is this tech news?
Well, that was constructive. It’s funny that the people who seem to hate the site like to post publicly, while people who like the site or who actually have constructive and useful criticism actually can read to figure out how to send feedback to the site.
If the site is so lame, why do you come here? The story was amusing, so I posted it. If you don’t like it, don’t post it on your own site, but if you’re going to comment, at least have something intelligent to say.
Re: Re: How is this tech news?
I like the site, and I thought the story was amusing. It involves a computer AND the internet, and that’s enough for me.
Re: Re: How is this tech news?
Its ok not to like the site, and I’m sure that, people being as different as they are, a few people don’t like the site. That being said, the ones who feel they have to post stuff like the above-mentionned post are morons who think its funny to be *ssh*les and troll for a fight.
Personally, I like the site and I found the story offbeat, unusual, on topic (site-wise).

Crazy me, this kind of story is *exactly* why I read Techdirt! All the intellectual snobbery at Slashdot really gets me down after awhile…

On topic
I felt that the post was on topic. The girlfriend blamed technology for what she perceives as a problem, which it may or may not have been.
