The Return Of Fixed Wireless?

from the could-it-be? dept

Forbes has an article about the new generation of fixed wireless offerings and saying that (finally) the technology may take off. Of course, there have been many claims in the past about fixed wireless broadband solutions – and they’ve almost all failed. However, many are now claiming that the technology finally works well enough, and is cheap enough to be used widely. I’ve noticed a pattern in all of the recent articles about fixed wireless, though: they all point to success stories in places like Iowa where the land is flat and the population is spread out. Will fixed wireless really only be cost effective in those regions?
