Navy Relied On Web Info To Mistakenly Award Contract
from the oops dept
Following all the press about Oracle’s bad contract with the State of California, now we find out that the Navy awarded a contract based on incorrect info they read online. They apparently confused two companies that had similar names, and assumed that the company bidding for the contract had significantly more experience than they really did have, after reading about the wrong company in an online trade journal. I’m sure this makes everyone feel very safe. Who trusts what they read online anyway?
