IBM Believes In Web Services

An interview with the guy at IBM leading their charger into the web services world. It’s interesting because the guy seems very enthusiastic about web services (he describes the concept as being “elegant”). He talks about what it takes to develop an agreed upon set of standards coming out of so many rival companies without too much fighting. As far as I can tell, though, the answer to that question is “backroom deals”, which I’m sure we’ll hear about in the next Microsoft anti-trust trial four or five years from now…
