Amazon Secretly Running High End Store

from the going-upscale dept

Amazon apparently launched a high-end luxury goods store for eLuxury (a division of Europeaan conglomerate LVMH), but they haven’t officially announced the agreement. This seems to be similar to any of Amazon’s recently announced outsourcing deals with companies like Toys R Us or Target – except that the type or merchandise is much more high end. Amazon admits that the store was launched in November, but no announcement was made because they’re waiting for a mysterious “second phase” to be completed first.
