I guess today is video games day at Techdirt. Fortune is running an article about how Activision turned around by creating incredibly popular video games based on extreme sports stars (starting with Tony Hawk), while EA (run by “60-year-old guys who are about to retire”) just kept going along with the more “standard” sports. The article follows the story of the 26-year-old guy (now 38) who bought Activision and turned it into what it is today by focusing on business fundamentals – while building cool games.
