Record Companies In For Scrutiny

Well, after a month of court ordered trying, it appears that Napster and the big record labels couldn’t reach a settlement. This may play out better than you would think for Napster, however. As we discussed previously, Napster and, more importantly, the judge had threatened the labels with a full review of how the labels have accounted for ownership of the songs they’re saying are being stolen, as well as whether or not they’ve abused their control of music copyrights.
