Digital River Bailing On Part Of Beyond Deal

from the not-worth-it dept

When Beyond.com (then as Software.net) went public, part of what made them such a “big deal” was their government sales division. Everyone talked about how they were going to just rake in lots of dough from selling downloadable software to the government. It’s funny, then, that Digital River, who is buying Beyond out of bankruptcy has just told them to forget it and keep the government systems business because they have no interest in it. Apparently, it’s not even worth the $7 million they were going to pay for it.
