The Most Advanced Town In France

from the lucky-them dept

Here’s an article about Issy-les-Moulineaux, a small city in France that promotes itself as being the most technologically advanced in France. It seems clear that they’ve certainly tried to incorporate technology into quite a lot of the city’s offerings, but it’s not clear how much good it has done. Some people feel that there has been a lot of technology advancement at the cost of an older cultural heritage. Others feel that it’s been mostly hype designed to make a name for the mayor of the town. It’s probably a bit of all of that. It would have been even more interesting to find out what the mayor of the city considers to be his biggest failures in advancing technology in the city.
