Implanting GPS Chips To Kidnap Risks

from the seems-extreme dept

If you live in South America and think you’re at risk of being kidnapped (apparently, a relatively large risk), you can now have a GPS chip implanted in your arm, so that people can track down your location. Of course, this still means that someone needs to find you, which could involve the necessary shootout. Also, I wonder if kidnappers will start looking for such chips and trying to do a “removal” process without any anesthesia.
