The Political Implications Of Broadband

from the fight-fight-fight dept

Everything becomes so much more insane once you get politics involved. There’s been lots of talk this week about the government getting involved in forcing broadband growth thanks to TechNet’s push for support. There’s an AP article about how tech leaders see universal broadband as manifest destiny, but a more interesting article is about how the folks in Washington D.C. view all of this. More politicians are coming out in favor of broadband access, but no one seems to know exactly how to push it forward, without causing all sorts of other problems.
