Old Economics For The New Economy

from the good-stuff dept

A good NY Times article talking about how despite all the talk of the “new economy” there was never much talk about new economics to go along with the new economy. So, the author goes and looks at a very interesting “old” economics paper that suggests why (despite what was commonly assumed the past few years) the internet might really lead to bigger and bigger companies, as opposed to small, nimble ones. Then, he goes and argues against his own thesis – showing why economics is useless… er… I mean, why economics is so interesting.
