There are many “startup legends” in Silicon Valley, and Cisco’s is one of the more popular ones. However, much of that legend apparently isn’t true. The San Jose Mercury News is looking to set the record straight on who did what (to whom and with whom) in the founding of Cisco. Worth reading just to see how Cisco more or less stole their technology from Stanford – who then felt forced to license it, rather than deal with a huge lawsuit.
