Orbitz Accused Of Unfair Practices

from the jealous? dept

Just last week we posted an article about how Orbitz was expecting to be profitable shortly. Perhaps that’s because they have some unfair deals with the airlines who own Orbitz. That, at least, is the claim of the Interactive Travel Service Association (ITSA), who is asking the government to “crack down” on Orbitz. Orbitz has responded by calling the other online travel sites chicken. They say that the other sites simply can’t handle competition and so are resorting to baseless claims. Sounds like a situation for lawyers to waste plenty of time and money over.
