Exodus From Exodus

from the run,-hide,-change-your-provider dept

When Exodus first declared bankruptcy, I had joked at how the internet would be mostly shut down if they turned everything off. It seems that some companies are realizing that might be true and they’re scrambling to find alternative providers to host their servers. Most people seem confident that Exodus won’t just go away, but it would seem silly not to make contingency plans. The best is the story of Providian, who hosted their servers at Pilot Networks, which suddenly shut down on them. So, in a crazy 10 days they rushed to move them… to Exodus. Now they’ve moved them out of Exodus as well. It can’t save that much money if you have to move your servers every quarter.
