If You're Reading This From Ireland, Stop Now

from the get-offline!! dept

There’s apparently a one-day boycott of the internet going on in Ireland today, (though it apparently doesn’t apply to Irish journalists). They’re protesting the price of internet connections, and the slow rate at which telecom upgrades are occurring. I think similar such boycotts have been tried in the past, but I don’t think many have done all that well. Well, I know we get some Irish readers, so if anyone feels like telling us how it went that might be interesting (though, I guess we might have to wait until tomorrow for them to get back online – if people are following the boycott, that is).
