Back to the topic of the month: does anyone actually want broadband? The latest study says that nearly 75% of dialup users are content with their “narrowband” method of connecting to the internet. Having just had to spend the last few months back on dialup before being able to find a new broadband provider, I can see where many people are coming from. It is certainly ok to just have a dialup connection. However, for many things it does make life more frustrating. It’s also a little unclear from the study how people feel about broadband. Dial-up blows. Obviously those content with dial-up are moronic peons who only utilize the net for email, instant messaging, and maybe booking plane tickets. These are people who are scared to embrace the internet in their lives. These people are idiots and deserve to die horrible deaths.
