The Internet And A Trip Around The World
from the always-connected dept
An interesting story about a pair of honeymooners who spent 80 days travelling around the world. They started out with no idea where to go and how to plan it, but used the internet to figure it all out (at least they got to the right places, unlike some people). Then, the internet played a crucial part during their 80 days away, as they used it to let their mothers know they were alive, make sure one of them hadn’t come down with Malaria, and make sure that the “civil unrest” in Ecuador wasn’t as bad as people were making it out to be. Who says the internet isn’t useful?
