P Joins H In Disagreeing With HP
from the doesn't-look-good dept
After the Hewlett’s stopped supporting HP’s merger plans with Compaq, how much worse could it get than to find out that the son of David Packard is also siding against the plans to buy Compaq. It’s unclear yet whether or not the whole “Packard Foundation” which owns over 10% of the stock will follow David’s decision, but he seems to think it’s likely. So, if both the descendants of H & P bail on HP’s merger plans, it might make it a lot tougher for the deal to go through.
