Merger Mania, For Real

from the part-II dept

Earlier, I posted a story with some “suggested” mergers. Here are two more stories about how it’s deal time. First, the folks at Gartner are saying that no “household name” tech company will be the same three years from now. They’re either going to get bought, or buy someone. Of course, that’s probably been true for quite a few years – so it doesn’t seem like that big of a “prediction”. The San Jose Merc, on the other hand has a story about the small guys. It seems that in order to survive many small tech startups are merging. Of course, they’re probably just trying to make themselves look attractive enough for the even bigger guys to swoop in and buy them.
