Interviewing Ted Nelson

from the send-a-smarter-reporter dept

Ted Nelson always has interesting things to say, and I usually enjoy interviews with him. In this interview with a BBC reporter, he pretty clearly explains why his version of hypertext is vastly different than what the web is. For that reason alone, it’s a good interview. However, the woman interviewing him comes across as an idiot. She even says that she simply doesn’t understand the differences that he’s explaining since she’s so “used to” the web as it is. Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Nelson has any opinions on wikis? They seem to be a lot closer (though not quite exactly) to his vision.
