Using Y2K As A Model To Fight Terrorism

from the good-idea?-bad-idea? dept

Many companies are looking at the experience of preparing for Y2K as a good practice run on how to fight terrorism. In support their viewpoint, you have to admit that not much bad happened as a result of Y2K, suggesting they may have done something right. Of course, the naysayers will claim that there never was much of a threat in the first place – so it doesn’t prove a damn thing. Still, the idea of being prepared for any sort of massive emergency like that doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.
