The Return Of ASPs

Business 2.0 is suggesting that one of the markets that might do well following the September 11 attacks is the ASP market for outsourced IT and apps. Suddenly, having all of your technical work done offsite can be seen as a way to keep things going in the even of some sort of tragedy at your home office. Of course, that doesn’t solve the problem if the ASP’s offices are the site of a tragedy… What makes more sense is to have real backup systems in place that are located in many different areas, and can be turned on quickly when needed in an emergency.
