Dot-Bomb Fallout

from the still-some-good-stuff-out-there dept

Here’s another “optimistic” article saying that while many of the failed dot coms are being valued at nothing, there is still quite a bit of value out there, mostly in the minds of people who created some very interesting companies and very useful technologies. He points out that there were plenty of great ideas that came out of the dot com revolution – but too much money was thrown at them, so that no one had a chance to carefully develop most of them into real businesses. However, just because the “dot bomb” crash has happened, it doesn’t mean those ideas have suddenly become worthless.
