Music Labels New Digital Music Plans Won't Work Well

This is one of the easier predictions to make (and we’ve had other articles here that have said the exact same thing), but here’s another prediction that the new attempts (MusicNet and Pressplay) by major labels to offer digital music to consumers won’t work. The main problem can be explained in one simple sentence: “[The music industry] is still obsessing over how not to cannibalize its existing business instead of obsessing over how to make the consumer experience with digital music the best one possible.”
