Disney To Buy Fox Family

Apparently Disney is completing a deal to buy Fox Family from News Corp. Believe it or not, I actually think they occasionally have some pretty good programming on Fox Family, so hopefully Disney won’t destroy it and turn it into another Disney channel. I wonder if they’ll keep the “Fox” name, though. AOL Time Warner and Viacom are also supposedly interested, which may drive up the price. Rupert Murdoch wants the cash as he continues to pursue (and pursue, and pursue) DirecTV. This has to be one of the longest and most public “pursuits” ever.
