Andrew Evans Blows His Second Chance

from the amazing dept

Here’s an aboslutely amazing (and somewhat confusing) story about a guy who used to manage Bill Gates’ money, and then went to jail for securities fraud. More recently he tried to build an internet incubator, but from the sound of the article he shifted around an awful lot of money (sometimes in very questionable ways) but didn’t actually build any companies out of it. He just owned a bunch of companies that lost money. When things would get really bad he’d change company names, fire management, convince someone else to give him money or some similar move. I’m not sure if he actually had a plan through all of this, or had some sort of bizarre investor’s attention deficit disorder. Not surprisingly, there are a ton of lawsuits tied to this mess which appear to still be pending.
